Chandrayaan-2

First of all congratulations to all peoples especially to all Indians for the successful launch of 'Chandrayaan-2'.

Chandrayaan-2

Chandrayaan-2 is India's second mission to the moon. It is India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1. It is developed by the 'Indian Space Research Organisation' (ISRO). The mission was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center on 22 July 2019 at 02:43 PM IST. Its launched by Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV III). It consists of a lunar orbiter, a lander named Vikram. and a rover named Pragyan.
All developed in India.
Launch of Chandrayaan-2 was originally scheduled for 15 July 2019 at 2:51 IST but was called off due to a technical snag noticed while filling the cryogenic engine of the rocket with fuel about one hour before launch. The countdown was frozen at 56 minutes, 24 seconds before the launch. It was launched on 22 July 2019 2:43 IST ) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
The lander and the rover will land on the south polar region of the moon on 7 September 2019. The wheeled rover Pragyan will move on the lunar surface and will perform on-site chemical analysis for a period of 14 days. It can relay data to Earth through the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter and lander, which were launched together on the same rocket.

A successful landing would make India the fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the Moon, after the space agencies of the USSR, USA, and China. If successful, Chandrayaan-2 will be the southernmost lunar landing, aiming to land at 67°S or 70°S latitude and India will become the first country to reach the southern part of the moon.
