Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is on a visit to Ladakh today, (29th August). It is his first visit after the government scrapped Article 370. Singh is visiting Ladakh to review the situation in the region.
The Minister is additionally expected to carry interactions with the defense and military officers there relating to true on the borders with each China and Pakistan there.
During the visit, Rajnath Singh can act with the locals and different stakeholders concerning the choice to show the world into a Union Territory and the way it's getting to help them, Defence officials said.
The 14 Corps in Leh manages both the borders with Pakistan along with the Kargil-Drass-Siachen sector while on the other side it manages the Eastern Ladakh boundary with China.
This is the first visit by a senior government functionary to Ladakh post the abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
